Beer Guide to Athens: Creature Comforts

Creature Comforts Brewing Co. For those of you who are new to the site, you'll soon learn my love for craft beer. Zach and I always seek local breweries when we travel, and the same is true for our hometown. Naturally, I decided to do a Beer Guide for all my favorite local breweries in Athens. This is for those of you who will visit Athens sometime or my fellow locals who are just learning about the beautiful world of craft beer. Creature Comforts has become a staple in downtown Athens and is growing as we speak. The brewery is renovating an old mill that will allow them to triple…

Lately I’ve been ditching my go to leggings for skirts! They are so easy to style and super comfortable. I found this one at Shein. Before today, I never shopped with Shein before and had been skeptical by the cheap prices. However, I was pleasantly blown away! The items came in…

    Island Living: Santorini, Greece

After watching Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, I was so excited to be headed to Santorini! All the houses painted blue and white and surrounded by Greek men? Yes please! It took two plane rides; first stop was Athens, then a smaller plan to the beautiful island. When we arrived, our Airbnb had a driver sent to take us to our room. I was really grateful for this because I was extremely confused on how the island worked. There was only a handful of roads in total and people would just pass each other left and right. There was not much rhyme or reason nor did we see any police,…

Czech this out, we went to Prague!

On May 6th, we arrived in Prague! It had been a long two days of journey and major jetlag, but we finally made it to our Airbnb at 1:30am. Our room was only a short 10 minute walk to the Old Town city center. We ate at the cutest place called U Tyna and had the most amazing goulash and dumplings before heading just across the way to the Prague astronomical clock. This was something I really wanted to see because these clocks are so rare, and this one still works! We strolled through Old Town for a bit, went in to local shops and grabbed some snacks. The people…

    30 Days Abroad

I was only two months into my new retail job in Athens when I started talking about going abroad with Christina. Who is Christina? Well, at this point in time I knew very little about her. She was born in London,  her dad is German but she mostly grew up in Athens. We had similar taste in music and both loved to travel. That was really the extent of what I knew about her. It was a slow day at work when we began talking about how much we wanted to go back to Europe and bepop around for a bit. Little did we know that exactly one year later,…
